SPELLING 4/8-4/12

** Spelling & vocabulary will be the same for the remainder of the year!**

  1. Jostle: to push or shove.

      2. Accustom: to make familiar; used to.

3. Retire: to stop working because one has reached a certain age; to go to bed.

4. Obedient: doing what one is asked or told.

5. Pedestrian: a person who is walking; someone who travels on foot.

6. Alert: watchful; wide-awake; to warn to be ready; a warning signal.

7. Distract: to draw one’s thought or attention away from the subject at hand.

8. Assign: to select for a position or for what has to be done; to give out as a
piece of work to be done.

9. Budge: to move or shift.

10. Concept: a general idea or thought about something.

11. Patient: wiling to wait without complaining; a person in a doctor’s care.

12. Obstacle: something that prevents one from moving forward.

13. Compatible: getting along well together.

14. Burly: big and strongly built.

15. Companion: one who spends time with or does things with another.
